The original idea for this piece was another form in the erosion series seeking to capture the elegance of twisted curves of worn sea shells. As the form took shape within the intense blue of the cobalt serpentine the crystalline textures and smooth sleek surface of the stone started to resemble the twisting graceful bodies of marine mammals.
