Auguste Rodin is without doubt one of the greatest sculptors of modern times. This, my second attempt at Le Penseur (the first was in olive wood) was done to explore the challenges of intricate stone carving in contrast to my previous work. It was undoubtedly a huge challenge and although I'm happy with the result it's not something I'm compelled to repeat.
